All About Love

Chapter Three

And on to Chapter Three! Extracts from my notebook:

Chapter 3

The audition. Juliette’s there with 137 other hopefuls. She hands her name in (almost doesn’t do it?) and at once the casting assistant, who has obviously been alerted, excuses herself for a second and brings back Jono who fetes her, preps her for her scene with Simon.

The actual audition. Instant dislike, which translates as energy/electricity flows between them.

Jono makes a date to see her? Or sees her out and doesn’t make a date? Is charming and restrained.

I suppose there could be an earlier scene of her learning her lines (with Bronwyn’s help).

And then, when she’s taking her make-up off, Juliette overhears Simon in the corridor outside slagging off amateurs who think they can waltz into parts on the basis of their connections.

She also meets the senior staff writer.
