Flirting and respect

Dear Gabriel,

I’ve been going out with this girl for a while now. Things are really great except, when we go to parties, she likes to flirt with all the other guys. It makes me feel stupid. When I try and tell her, she says I’m trying to control her. She says I should be flattered. Next time I might just flatten one of them, never mind flatter.

As I see it you have two choices (well at least two that jump out at me) – firstly, start flirting outrageously with women at parties and see if your girlfriend likes it. But even though games are fun at first, they soon get tedious and can backfire – she might not care and where does that leave you? So on to the second choice: tell her very seriously how you feel, ask her for what you want and be prepared to leave if she won’t respect how you feel.
