Pride and Prejudice in serial form

Allaboutlove has launched, in serial form, one of the most enduring of love stories – Pride and Prejudice.

We will be running a new chapter of the novel every week for the next year.

If you haven’t yet read Pride and Prejudice, here’s your chance. It is truly one of the most wonderful novels ever written in English.

Google any site that provides a list of memorable first lines from novels and very high on every list is the immortal opening:

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single
man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want
of a wife…”

And it’s not only the opening sentence of that marvelous book that is memorable – it is its sly, sensitive, subtle, satirical but ultimately, sunny look at the ways of love in high-ish society in the opening stanza of the nineteenth century. But most engrossingly, it is the story of the spirited Elizabeth Bennet and the journey she takes in overcoming her pride and accepting the least likely, but most appropriate, of her suiters.
